Terms of Service.

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE: PLEASE READ TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE CAREFULLY.  

1. AGREEMENT

Payment of the booking fee is acknowledgement & acceptance of these terms by the client.

2. BOOKINGS & CONFIRMATION

Bookings are taken on a first come, first serve basis. We cannot hold your booking open without confirmation and payment of the booking fee. Non-payment may result in losing the date to another party. The booking fee is deducted from the overall total. The balance is payable by bank transfer two weeks before the event date.  

3. PAYMENT TERMS  

3a. A $250.00 non-refundable/non-transferable booking fee is to be paid to secure wedding and group booking dates. This payment secures the date exclusively for the booking (either group or wedding) and covers initial and ongoing administration costs. The outstanding balance of the booking must then be paid TWO WEEKS prior to event.

3b. For single service bookings, full payment is due ONE WEEK prior to event.  

3c. Fees quoted do not include unknown additional costs or any other unique or special requirements that are not made known to us at the time of the original quote - i.e. extra faces, early start changes, change of locations etc.

3d. Prices quoted are valid for 14 days from the quotation date and are subject to change after this time has elapsed.  

4. CANCELLATION POLICY

4a. The booking fee is non-refundable & non-transferable if a booking is cancelled for any reason, unless event is affected by COVID-19 unforeseeable events. If the client cancels their booking with less than FOUR weeks notice, the booking fee and 50% of the final payment are non-refundable. If the client cancels with less than TWO weeks notice, then the deposit and 75% of the final payment are non-refundable. If less than ONE week is provided, the full booking payment will be non-refundable.

4b. If, after the booking fee has been paid by the client, the client changes the event location from what was originally disclosed in the booking questionnaire, The One Artistry reserves the right to increase the travel fee allocated or cancel the booking if travel is outside of chosen travel radius. The paid booking fee is non-refundable in this case.

4c. If, after the full invoice payment has been made, the client wishes to alter/reduce items on the invoice, no monies are entitled for a refund, but up to the discretion of The One Artistry. This includes changes or removal of a bridal preview. It is up to the client to ensure that an appropriate date can be found for their bridal preview alongside The One Artistry's guidance and in accordance with the days available (Tuesday's and Friday's ongoing and other week days according to The One Artistry's discretion).

4d. In the unlikely event that The One Artistry may cancel your booking for unforeseen reasons, all monies paid for services not rendered will be refunded.  

5. CHANGES TO NUMBER OF FACES

5a. If there is a reduction in the number of services required 8 weeks or less before event, you will still be charged for the number of services originally booked.

5b. Bridal groups must include the bride for makeup and/or hair, unless with prior agreement before securing the booking. We do not work with split parties – i.e parties who are being serviced by other suppliers, unless this has been agreed before securing your booking.  

6. GENERAL DISCLOSURES, COVID19 & OTHER HEALTH CONDITIONS *Please see below

6a. You acknowledge that services provided involve the application of skin products directly to the relevant parts of the face & body & therefore agree that you have disclosed any & all medical or other conditions known to you which a reasonable person would disclose, including but not limited to Viruses such as COVID19, SARS, Herpes, Hepatitis & other such diseases. Skin sensitivity, conditions such as active herpes (cold sores) & general allergies for yourself & the other people who are receiving services. In doing so, you agree that we are not liable for, & will indemnify us from any & all claims, liabilities, costs, loss, & causes of action relating to personal injury or death arising directly or indirectly as a result of your failure to disclose pertinent information relating to medical or other conditions. The One Artistry reserves the right to refuse to work with someone who presents with a contagious disease, virus or transmittable infection or condition such as those named above.

6b. The One Artistry can refuse to use your own makeup products or tools.  

7. SURCHARGES

A surcharge of 10% applies for bookings on public holidays.  

8. ADDITIONAL FEES 

All previews or special occasions event makeup and hair styling services to be completed at The One Artistry studio unless otherwise agreed. Address is provided on booking invoice. Travel fees are specified on the provided invoice and are quoted on application.

8a. OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATION FEES Overnight accommodation fees may apply for country weddings or areas more than two hours travel time from Wollongong.

8b. AREAS COVERED The One Artistry travels across the Illawarra, Southern Highlands and South Coast regions with some areas in Sydney also included.

8c. EARLY STARTS  If arrival at the preparation venue is required for earlier than 7am a $100.00 EARLY START fee will be incurred.

9. VENUE PARKING

Hotel valet parking or car park parking fees are payable by the client if free parking is not available.  

10. SUPPLIER RECOMMENDATIONS

 Referrals are based entirely on experience, attitude, talent & skill of suppliers we recommend. Services of 3rd party suppliers are entirely their responsibility & we accept no liability.  

11. UNABLE TO ATTEND

If we are unable to attend your booking, all attempts will be made to send an alternative makeup artist to you, who will be fully briefed on your look & the products required. If we are unable to find an artist to fulfil your booking, 100% of services paid will be refunded, (not including services already rendered).  

12. PHOTOGRAPHS/ IMAGES

12a. All photographs taken by us are the property of The One Artistry & may be used for marketing purposes on social media or in print. Any objections to this must be made known to The One Artistry. We always seek your permission for use of images for clients who are under 18.

12b. In the event you have hired a professional photographer, you kindly agree to credit The One Artistry where appropriate and The One Artistry will credit any photographer’s work where known.  

13. PRICE LIST

The pricelist may change without prior notice. Price changes will not affect any bookings with a paid deposit which keep to the original service requirements in the invoice.  

14. DAMAGES, CHILDREN & PETS

If your appointment is mobile (not onsite at The One Artistry studio) children and pets are to be supervised by another adult (not the seated client). If any damage to The One Artistry's kit or tools occurs from a guest, client or pet, it is the full responsibility of the client to cover the cost of repair/s and/or replacement of products or tools.

15. PRIVACY & CONFIDENTIALITY

Your personal details remain confidential and will not be disclosed to a third-party, before, during or after your special event.  

16. COVID-19 - CLIENT SERVICE CONDITIONS

16a. The client MUST sanitise hands with provided hand sanitiser before engaging in the artist’s working area.

16b. The client MUST NOT touch the artist, their tools, items or equipment under any circumstance unless directed by the artist.

16c. The client MUST disclose to The One Artistry any flu-like symptoms, sore throat, cough, fever or shortness of breath within the last 48 hours.

16d. The One Artistry reserves the right to refuse service to any and all clients who refuse to adhere to the above mandatory conditions of service. A refund is not applicable under any circumstance if service is refused due to breach of the conditions of service or The One Artistry feels at risk of infection.  

17. COVID RESTRICTIONS / AFFECTED BOOKING DATES

17a. If the client needs to postpone their event date due to government issued restrictions then The One Artistry will work alongside the client to find an appropriate date that suits both parties for the booking to be rescheduled. If a suitable date cannot be found, the booking fee amount will not be refunded.

17b. If the client decides to cancel their booking with less than FOUR weeks notice, the deposit and 50% of the final payment are non-refundable. If the client cancels with less than TWO weeks notice, then the deposit and 75% of the final payment are non refundable. If less than ONE week is provided, the full booking fee will be kept.   

18. COVID-19 WAIVER/LIABILITY

When choosing to commence hair or makeup services with The One Artistry you are doing so at your own risk. By agreeing to the Terms and Conditions of service, you agree that The One Artistry cannot be held responsible for any infection or contamination relating to infectious disease either directly or indirectly from being serviced by us. This includes but is not limited to *Accidental injury by contamination of infectious disease to persons including but not limited to, injury resulting from the use of tools and equipment required for the service, injury to the client, any of their friends, family or guests whether that person is part of the booking or not, and any other person at the location at which the booking is taking place.  The One Artistry will take all possible precautions and uphold a strict and stringent hygiene procedure as per the State Government required COVID- 19 Guidelines to avoid and limit contamination and spread of infection. While all care is taken, no responsibility is accepted.  

19. TERMS & CONDITIONS UPDATES

The above mentioned terms and conditions may change at any time. All efforts will be made to ensure the client is sent the most up-to-date version.
